SCORE – Strengthening Civil Society for Older People’s Rights and Engagement is a three-year, multi-country programme that strengthens locally led civil society organisations to advocate more effectively for the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of older people. Supported under Sida’s Civil Society Strategy, the programme contributes to building a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient civil society movement that promotes social justice and advances the rights of ageing populations
Through targeted organizational capacity strengthening, the expansion of civic space for evidence-based advocacy, and the empowerment of older people and their representative organisations, SCORE enables civil society actors to champion the voices and interests of older people. The programme seeks to ensure that older people’s voices are heard, their rights are respected and protected, and their wellbeing is enhanced through a thriving, inclusive, and locally rooted civil society that advocates with and for them.
